Head Trainer

I own/operate and train at Bode Central in Howard for the past 10 years.  My passion for helping people is what got me started in the fitness industry.  I'm an advocate for movement and how it relates to both mental and physical health.

This passion for helping people is what drove the decision to create the GRIT program several years ago.  Believing that everyone is an athlete and that all individuals, regardless of age or ability,  should have the right to fitness , is what fuels this program.  Having a one of a kind, inclusive, adaptive fitness facility is crucial to a strong community.  The joy on the participants' faces when they work out is something I look forward to every week.

As the head trainer for this program, I am grateful to be a consultant to the board, to help set program direction and I can't wait to make this goal of a new facility a reality.

Nichelle joins the GRIT team with 10+ years experience in the fitness and personal training industry.  She is currently pursuing a master's degree in special education and her work with GRIT is the perfect marriage of her two passions.  When she's not working out or doing homework, she enjoys spending time with her family, gardening and taking naps.
