I was introduced to GRIT when I joined Bode in 2020 and have been the leader for our biggest fundraiser, Golf Fore GRIT for the past 4 years. Along with wanting to see the vision of program expansion and a separate GRIT facility come to reality, being a member of the GRIT board has allowed me to give back to our community, and support a cause that I’m passionate about….. this at the end of the day is about the participants and being there the day we open the new facility!

I’ve been involved with GRIT for a number of years through a sponsorship with my company, BayCare Clinic. I couldn’t jump fast enough at the opportunity to help once I heard about it. Seeing the participants' faces while they workout, dance and cheer each other on is so awesome…the energy is contagious! I am so excited to join the board and help expand the program and facilities for families throughout Northeast Wisconsin.

My name is Hollie Linder, I was born and raised in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan and now reside in Howard, WI with my husband Roger and our four children. As a former IT Project Manager for Thrivent Financial and a mom to four children, I love being involved in our community. After volunteering as a basketball coach for 6 years and on the Parent Teacher Organization for 5 years in the Howard-Suamico School District, being on the GRIT 920 board felt like a natural next step. Recognizing the need for adaptive and inclusive fitness in our community was eye opening. I'm enjoying growing the GRIT program, sharing its mission, and I look forward to achieving our goal of creating a first of its kind, fully adaptive fitness facility for all abilities that will be open to the public.

I knew I wanted to be a part of turning this dream into a reality. Being involved with GRIT has allowed me to give back to the community in ways I have never imagined.

My name is Laura Lee and I grew up with Cerebral Palsy. Through this lived experience, I have been a strong advocate for people with disabilities in numerous spaces. I have consulted with many organizations throughout the US regarding developing access for all. As a young adult, I competed nationally as a swimmer and a runner. During this time I trained side by side with athletes who did not have full access to gym space and equipment that I did. It is for this reason being a part of the GRIT 920 team was so important to me. I look forward to helping develop a facility that can afford people of all abilities to pursue their goals for physical fitness.

This love of coaching drew me to the GRIT program and when the opportunity rose to be on the team, I jumped at it. I am inspired by the attitudes, work ethic and how much these participants love coming to the gym. They are as fired up as any athlete I have ever coached.
Being on the board means making sure athletes of all abilities will always have a place to work on fitness, sports and wellness regardless of age or ability. I am so motivated to make our goal of having an adaptive fitness facility that is accessible year round and can't wait to see the faces of the participants the day we open the doors.

Im very excited to be a member of the GRIT 920 team and to continue to serve more individuals with all amazing abilities.

As an Employment Specialist with the Down Syndrome Association of Wisconsin, I help individuals with disabilities find and maintain meaningful employment. I joined the GRIT 920 team because I believe everyone deserves access to the benefits of exercise. Physical activity can open new doors for people with disabilities by promoting independence, and creating more balanced fulfilling lives. Through fitness, individuals gain the strength-both physically and mentally - to achieve their personal goals and excel in all areas of life.

For the past few years, I have been fortunate enough to help volunteer with the Pulaski GRIT program and witness firsthand how amazing GRIT truly is. The GRIT athletes are filled with joy,
innocence, and an unwavering love for each other, which ultimately inspired me to join the GRIT team.

My name is Tori Grimm, and I was born and raised in Green Bay. I currently work as a communications specialist at BayCare Clinic and also coach the girls' golf team at Bay Port. Being part of something bigger than myself has always been important to me. That's why I'm passionate about GRIT, a program that empowers individuals with disabilities to learn how to exercise. I love volunteering in the community, and this opportunity allows me to use my expertise in social media creation to support their nonprofit efforts and showcase the incredible work they do for both participants and the community.
